We have found some great financial sites over the past decade. Here's a list of some of the better ones.

Leadership Summit

The Leadership Summit is a nonnegotiable part of Tim FitzGerald’s annual calendar. It is a Christian leadership conference where the emphasis is on developing our God given leadership skills. The best leadership minds in the Christian church, the business world, government and academia routinely speak at the conference. In 2010, Jim Collins and Jack Welch are two of the featured speakers. If you want to develop your leadership skills, this two day conference is one of the best ways to do it in a cost effective manner.

Seth Godin

If you would like to read a creative, provocative and just plain fun blog, try looking at Seth Godin’s blog. Most of his past work has been in the area of marketing, customer service and branding. But one of his recent books, Tribes, challenges some traditional thinking on leadership. Join him if you want to look at the world in a little different way.

The Table Group

One of our favorite authors is Patrick Lencioni who focuses on organizations, team development and a host of related issues. His website offers some ideas on helping team development along with access to some of his resources. We would encourage you to sign up for Pat’s POV (Point of View). This is a periodic email (normally about once a month) that has an interesting point of view. Most of these would be very applicable for small businesses and their owners.

Principa

FitzGerald & FitzGerald, P.C. is a member of Principa, an international organization dedicated to helping CPA firms raise their service levels to their small business clients. If you are interested in getting a feel for the resources that we have access to, explore the Principa website. There are some specific resources for small business owners on http://principa.net/about/businessowners.tpl

Wall Street Journal Lessons in Leadership

This is a public part of the Wall Street Journal’s website. On this page are some very good articles on management and leadership and some great videos by CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies on key parts of leadership and management. Each video is only 3-5 minutes long. They are great for getting you thinking about a particular topic. You do not have to agree with them. The main thing is that it gives a different perspective on business.
